Does anyone know the difference between the (2) different power bricks that come with the 8790? My first GX7 had a smaller power supply w/cooling fan. However, my second GX7 has a larger/heavier PS without a cooling fan. Is there a problem with the original PS or is it just a matter of Clevo/Sager using a different (cost effective) vendor? I'd think that the smaller PS with active cooling would be the better of the two unless there's a problem.

Hopefully the big one is silent.
Although, it really doesn't get that hot (same as wristpad during gaming). I have both power supplies right now and the new larger PS definitely gets hotter and is actually louder (slight hum). The smaller PS is practically silent.

I'm doubting there ever was a change and why someone told you that I have no idea. There are 2 companies that make them and they use both and have for a long time, but one isn't clearly better than another.
