Temperture XPS 1730 - Page 2

So if not I8kfangui to control fans then what are you using?? Ive noticed when using I8kfangui 1 gpu will go down 20C from the other gpu so i see what you mean about it only contolling 1 gpu fan..

Is there a program out there that will control all the fan speeds on a dell xps 1730??

I have 2 x 8800mgtx's in sli and i notice when gaming the keyboard gets pretty hot.. When i use the I8kfangui to contol the fans atleast some of the keyboard cools down a little but i really need something that will control both gpu fans.. Plus i like to use vista64 which is a real pain to get I8kfangui working anyway.

thanks in advance

Short answer - NO. There is no app which will control both GPU fans.

Stay away from I8kFanGui unless you want to melt your GPU. Leave the cooling to the BIOS. It does a good job.

Well, you may want to clean out your fans. Give it a nice shot of compressed air. I suggest inserting a toothpick or small paperclip between the fan blades to lock the fan into place as you give it the air shot. Reason being this will prevent the fan from spinning - a compressed air blast can cause the fans to spin at a very high RPM.

Not sure on your normal temps, but to give you an idea, my 8800M GTX SLI does not go above 75c. CPU never exceeds 60c.

Your temps are very high. You may want to post in the Toshiba forum and ask other users of your system what their normal temps are.

Forgot to mention that i replaced my 2X1gb memory for 2x2gb (nothing much changed),and that could be problem.I`ll tested with old one tomorrow!

Dabox there is something seriously wrong with your machine. I have a Toshiba X200 with simular specs and it runs cool as a cucmber except when gaming They put the exhaust for the GPU right where I hold my mouse so its wicked hot in that area. When not gaming its cool.
