Well we all know about i8kFangui and I used it with my M1710 all the time. But even with the M1710, forcing the fans to high speed would make the fans jump up and down between high and low speed slightly. This is also happening with the M1730 but since the fans are louder it's more annoying.
Furthermore i8kFangui only controls one of the GPU fans and monitors just one of the temps/fans.
What other good and LIGHT utility can replace i8kFangui for a hardware monitor/controler. I've seen notebook hardware control but meh, didn't really like it. More complicated than it needs to be, not that I'd have a problem with configuring and getting it up and running just like this sort of app to be very small, light on resources and functional.
