1720 LCD switch...possible?

I have two 1720's. One has the upgraded LCD. The other is maxed out except for the LCD. They are both Jet Black (added for my question).

I would like to have the hires LCD on the loaded 1720. Can I merely take the whole upper half of the laptop off of the one and switch it with the other?
