Long time lurker, and now a new member.
Anyways, I have a I9300 (GeForce 6800 Go) that my bro gave to me after making his new desktop. When he first got this, it was a monster. Nowadays, it's not, lol.
On to the point: I've always used the drivers from Dell just because they're the "official" ones. However I've read that their GPU drivers aren't the fastest. Now that I'm playing games such as TF2 instead of the older games (e.g. CS:S, WC3, WoW), I'm kinda wanting a performance boost.
Now, I'm not saying that TF2 isn't playable -- the FPS is good enough, but maybe it could be better (esp. during the bigger battles)? I'm just curious if I'll get a performance boost from switching drivers (Dell to whatever).
I found out that this driver, NBF MobileForce XP 174.31, is compatible w/ my GPU. It's also one of the recommended ones.
Anyways, I'm just looking for feedback.
Thanks.
