|Taiwan's own Asustek is not done with Intel's X48 chipset and is gearing up to release yet another motherboard equipped with this silicon creation, the Rampage Extreme. Pictured below, the new Republic of Gamers board features a lovely black PCB and a cooling solution that is not only spreading like Tiberium but it also offers both air and water-cooling options.
Coming with support for all new LGA775 processors with 1333 and 1600 MHz FSBs, the Rampage Extreme has DDR3 memory support, two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots for CrossFire setups, is loaded with the EPU power-saving technology, eight SATA 3.0 Gbps connectors and one eSATA port. In addition, the ROG board and is equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet adapters, quite a few enthusiast-enticing buttons for Power, Reset, Clear CMOS and more. No word on the board's pricing yet but you can bet it will cost quite a lot.
