PCI Card Problem...

Anyone have any problems getting the blank PCI card back into the IXPS or I9100? It does not seem to go all the way back in snug.... Suggestions?
Thanks,
J

you mean the PCMCIA card? put a little force into it and make sure the eject button isnt sticking out when you do get it in

It's not very snug, I know it. The PCMCIA blank that came in mine wouldn't fall out if I held it in such a manner, but it doesn't take much to pull it out, and it certainly doesn't need the eject button. From what I hear, actual PCMCIA cards are much more snug.

Thanks, I just could have sworn when the system arrived the blank plastic card that dell sends with the system was flush with the eject button but now when I put it back into the slot to protect the slot it sticks out a bit. Not a big deal at all, just curious why it will not return to a more secure position.
Thanks,
J

I think they are supposed to stick out a bit. Mine did when I got it, I am sure of that.

Thanks guys... Just brand new system and want everything perfect... Seems like ANY little discrepancy is HUGE... You understand... And good god if my system were to lock up when gaming I would be PISSED... Cannot imagine that one... On travel and do not have any games with me, but when I get home it will be ON...
Speaking of which, I have been out of PC gaming for some time, and playing a lot of XPS, actually bought this laptop to get back into the more intensive graphics games... Any high suggestions of good flight sims or SOLID first person shooter combat games for the PC??? I see alot here about Battle Field Earth and Far Cry are they the best??? Give me some suggestions it would be much appreciated...
My current desktop could not PLAY Quake III very well if that gives you an idea of why I have been out of the gaming PC industry for some time...
Thanks,
Jed

Lucky you guys, my PCMCIA slot came without anything (plain empty), I do have to find something to fill it up before it gets dusty... Any suggestions on what might be the perfect add-on for this slot?

Get a 4 in 1 card reader for different types of digital media.

Someone also here posted a 4 USB port for a pcmcia slot not too long ago.
