Has anyone tried Vista 64 bit yet.......I am really dissapointed with software and hardwre makers plus Microsoft...seems no one is utilizing the 64 bit technology...I really though when vista came out and I ntel and AMD built tose 64 bit cpu's that this technology would take off.......I mean Apple/Mac has been using 64 bit for years now...they were even using dual cpu's (not dual core) for years...I thing they may even be using dual dual core cpu's now....
I am getting ready to start building my next desktop gaming rig now that Vista has been updated and seems to have improved greatly for playing games...I installed Call Of Duty 4 on My Vista desktop (Dell XPS Gen 4 ) that came with XP Pro but upgrading to Vista Home Premium was not a problem..No problems with the 925x chipsets or any of the hardware as far as Vista drivers......
I am wondering how the performance would be with Vista Ultimate 64 bit with 8gigs of memory and SLI nVidia cards..totaling 2 gigs of dedicated video memory.....I know the possabilities for a killer system would be there if software makers would utilize the 64 bit technology........I really though by now 64 bit would be the norm......but it looks like they are all stuck in 32 bit land and dont know how to get out ....lol.......
anyway ......if any gamers here are using a 64 bit systems I would love to hear your input on is it worth it,,,or is waiting longer a better idea...
