PC-5300 667 Mhz Memory in A-690

I have 2 1GB 5300 sticks I removed from my Lenovo Thinkpad. The A-690 uses 4200 sticks, but shouldn't the 5300 work? I know there are pinout differences between SODIMMS, so I want to be sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

dont see why not, if u use both sticks. worst scenario is some beeps at start
