XPS Gen-2 one pixel wide vertical line...

Hi,

topic... I've had my gen-2 for almost 3 years now, and today i got a vertical white line, precicely one pixel, from the top to the bottom, on the far right. Supposedly there was an issue with faulty LCDs? However, my warranty long ran out AND i'm in europe >-<. Is this the same issue? What are my chances, you think? Thanks in advance,

That the issue alright. I don't know what Dell is doing now but I had to have it replaced twice on my XPS Gen2 (I had an extended warranty). I don't know if Dell will pay for it or not.

if it is out of warranty you may be screwed but i would definitely give tech support a call...try to get an american. they may be able to help you!

mine was replaced out of warranty, and in another country at that time, for free. tell us how it goes cause i think dell mentioned they would replace it for up to 3 yrs, warranty or not.
