Hiccup Playing Music

i finally received my m1530 and have been very please until i noticed a problem with music playback. i'm running my music through itunes with an external tascam us-122 sound card. even with moderate computer use, the a hiccup every now and then. i ran the same setup with my gen1 xps on xp and did not have this issue.

is anyone else having this problem, if so were you able to fix it?

here are some specs:
dual 2.5ghz
4gb ram
320gb 7200rpm
vista home premium

disregard my question. i did some research and found that the "vista compatible" driver from tascam is not compatible. not only was there hiccups, my computer couldn't shutdown/restart with the sound card connected.

i guess it's time to purchase a different sound card

Do you have wireless internet running at the same time?
I have the same problem with my inspiron 9100 when using my Hammerfall pcmcia with my wireless internet.
Do this test first before buying a new soundcard. Turn the wireless off and see if the problem still persists.
