gateway mt3422 freezes up

I bought one laptop gateway mt3422 and since from the beginning I had problems with it
normally it is working well, I like the speed but sometimes freezes up, the screen become blank or lines of different colors appear and the laptop stop responding
can someone tell me how I can fix-it widouth changing the motherboard, tks

try first by re-installing ur graphic card driver

so, its like this, I install windows, normally, I install all drivers, the laptop is working very fine 2-3 days after start to freeze more and more often, I reinstal the video adapter and it works fine another 1 or 2 days after start to freeze again, until it crash for good and I reinstall windows again, and we stars all over again, so where is the trouble?

Sounds like a ambient over-heating problem to me, is it still under OEM Warranty?

If the unit is starting to display odd characters/lines then you are starting to have a hard ware issue where some solder spheres are not making good connection to the board anymore. The board needs to be repaired or replaced. Check ebay for some boards, they will be cheaper there then from gateway directly
