m9700 AC Adapter

Sigh. So my laptops Ac adapter decided to stop working. The wires that go from the brick to computer got crossed instant frying occured. Well Alienware support was unable to help me in locating a second power adapter, as these are not made anymore by the Li Shin corporation. Alienware tells me that I am out of luck and that I have to search the vast internet for a suitable adapter. Well unfortunately the 9700 uses 150 watt power adapter which turns up to be rare. All sources for an adapter seem to have run dry of the 9700 adapter. All saying "Out of Stock". I see that some xps laptops use 150 watt adapters and push roughly the same current.

Just kind of wondering if anyone out there on these forums actually was able to buy two adapters and is not using the other anymore.

Sounds like you've got it taken care of, but there are ac adapters available on the net, both the Li Shin original, and compatable adapters. Just search for the part # *wrong number removed*.

Saw a Toshiba that's listed specifically as compatable with the AW for $28.95...

Yeah we do, but that is the wrong part number. Looks like that one is for a sentia.

0226a19150 is my part number. 19volts at 7.85 amps = 150 watts. anything less will screw with capacitors and chips.

There are times when there seems to be more vendors on a street than shoppers.

Hello guys. Hoping i can get some help also. When searching the net trying to find a new ac adapter for my Aurora 9700 i can across this forum. I am in the same boat as it seems to be a problem. Does anyone have an extra brick to sell or know if there is a generic one anywhere. All alienware told me was to search the net.
