RESOLVED: PC Torque -- thanks!

Hey all,

just wanted to say PC Torque got back to me and everything is being resolved. Turns out the manufacturer (Sager) discontinued a model, and this happened right around the time of the order, causing the confusion.

In the meantime, Brian at PC Torque has been very helpful resolving the issue and steering me to a comperable replacement. I was just getting worried because I hadn't heard anything, but want to let everyone know all is right now.

Thanks!

I was wondering, what model did you order that went out of date? Just so no one else experiences the same issue!

The 7260 is the model that has been discontinued.

Unfortunately, this problem was never truly resolved. After my initial post here, someone from pctorque (Brian) did finally contact me to try to get a replacement for the discontinued model. After giving him all of the specs I was assured that he would get a comparable machine for me and put in the order the next day. I was asked to amend the previous post I had written on the forum. Since that time (more than a week ago), I have been unable to get in touch with anyone at the company.

NONE of my many emails or voice messages have been returned. I have no idea if I have a computer coming, or if they've just decided to keep my money. All I really want is a refund, since I no longer trust this company. I am shocked at the poor customer service that I have continually received and am a little scared that I have been scammed.

I hope it's just an issue of miscommunication. Please keep us updated on how the problem is handled.

I also recently ordered (last week) from PCtorque, so I like to hear about its customer service. It's very strange for a voice mail not to be returned within a week.

Someone from PCtorque finally contacted me today and offered to refund my money (or give me a replacement - but that's what I had been told before, and then I stopped being able to contact anyone at the company, so I declined). The guy who called me said that their phone system had been down and that's why they hadn't returned my calls - I didn't ask why none of my emails were returned either, but I didn't think it was worth getting in to. I was also informed that the person I had been working with before (Brian) no longer worked for PCtorque, so that might explain some of the lag. I am very happy to be getting my money back, and I sincerely hope that they are pulling it together in terms of their customer service so that this won't happen to anyone else!

Its sad to see posts like this. I used to like pctorque al ot and was looking to get my next laptop from them but after the old pctorque went away it seem like everything has changed....
