Portland, Oregon. Grew up in Chicago.

Wooster > oh man, what have I been missing up here in Portland?
I swear I posted on here, but oh well.

I'm from naperville IL a suburb in chicago. Strangely it was ranked by time magazine as number one city to raise kids in the US. How that happened I have no idea.

Throughout the school year I'm at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

He was for a while after the end of Australian Idol.... but has kind of dropped off the scene a bit since. Actually I think the runner-up in that competition is doing better than he is.... but don't quote me, I rarely ever watched it.

Hey, I've heard of Jackson Heights before....a nice neighborhood...at least that was my opinion during the little time I spent there...I do understand that it has many Indian stores right? All I know was that the food and shopping was real good...especially for electronics!

Yeah, 74th Street from Roosevelt to 37th Ave is called Little India. Food and shopping is great. But as far as electronics, they're highly marked up from something you could buy at a chain store for cheap.
Yeah...realized that the first time I went there....then had to put on the "haggling" and "bargaining" outfit, to get them to offer a "good price"
Yeah, it's like you gotta realize they're bound to be more expensive than a chain like compusa or bestbuy because their a privately owned small business with rent to pay and what not. The only ones who shop there are tourists. No offense. Same thing in Manhattan.

Hey, I will be in the Big Apple in the beginning of June....where do you reckon that I go for good electronics? I heard about Canal Street or something like that, but was also told that you can get easily ripped off over there...thanks for your help!
Yeah, Canal and anywhere in Chinatown is good. But personally, I stick to the big chain stores. Because they have good return policies and warranties and stuff.

Yeah, in Chinatown, it's like that commercial:
You take a check?
Yo!
"Yao!"

NYC rocks...unless you're part of the 70% that makes less than $25k a year...like me.
