I reinstalled the chipset drivers with no results. In the Device Manager, there's 3 "unknown devices" with the hardware ID of:
The first one is obviously an audio driver, so i'm not too concerned with that. The second is the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and the third is "Microsoft AC Adapter" however looking around, I've been unable to find these drivers seperately to download and the Dell chipset driver doesn't help.
I've read around and it seems there's a compatibility issue between the BIOS and the ACPI (Advanced Control and Power Interface) system where BIOS is using APM (Advanced Power Management) by default and needs to be changed. However there is no option in the A01 BIOS. The current BIOS is A05 (i think) but.... I can't flash my BIOS unless the AC Power and Battery are plugged in.
They are plugged in except windows doesn't register the battery so I can't flash my BIOS. Kinda stuck in a loop of problems, easiest solution would be to install new ACPI drivers, but haven't been able to find any.
