Toshiba P205D XP downgrade USB problems?

Thread Starter
I recently got a Toshiba P205D-7436. We downgraded to XP and had lots of fun getting drivers for everything, as others have mentioned. I'm having problems with what seems like power supply to the USB ports. A few of my devices seem to have little blips in how they function. I don't know how else to describe it. I have a USB keyboard and it keeps skipping letters that I've typed. Could there be a problem with the USB driver?

Any help is appreciated.

Just to make sure you realize, when unplugging usb devices, make sure that you click on the icon down by the clock (green circle with a white check) to disable the device before you unplug (Safely remove hardware). Otherwise, you could be screwing up your USB ports

getting XP up to Sp2 or SP3 would also help, if you haven't done so

cheers ...
