Vaio VGN-TZ130N Display drivers

Hello. So I have had to rebuild this laptop from Vista to our companies standard OS XP using the enterprise media cd. I have everything loaded fine except the video drivers. I have installed first the sony shared library and then the video driver per the recommendation from Sony and still no luck. When I installed the shared library, it detects the video card in device manager but has an exclamation mark pending driver install. Here are my steps:
1. Under Device manager, under Display adapters I have the video controller (VGA Compatible) with an exclamation mark.
2. I uninstall it and then install the motherboard driver on Sony website and it reinstalls it.
3. I then install the video driver but does nothing.
4. Went do Intel and downloaded the 945GMS chipset.
5. That looked like it did the trip, but now I cannot increase the resolution passed 1024x768. if I disable the display drivers under device manager, then I can increase to 1366x768

Now if I uninstall the driver and reboot it goes into the right size but certain features go disabled like Standby etc... Where else to look at?

Anyone having this issue? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Sony has more of the "shared" libraries (system components, video etc ,..). I recommend downloading and installing them all
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...?mdl=VGNTZ130N

Furthermore, certain features would be lost, when moving to XP from a Vista machine. This, you need to get a confirmation with Sony; since they are always vague in the documentation

Actually shared libraries did nothing for me. I installed all drivers on their site. Here was the fix I found searching around and did the trick:
Here is the solution to that from another post. Very common problem:

"i figured out how to fix this.. uninstall the monitor driver, it should be 1024x768, you need to click UPDATE driver, then select "install from a specific location", then click next, next select "dont choose. i will select driver to install".. click next, select "plug and play monitor" driver and ok.. it will install it.

reboot the computer, go to your resolution settings of the card, it should now support 1366x768 and you're good to go. took me 2 weeks to figure this out after arguing with intel, sony and looking all over..

go figure, monitoring driver was the issue, not the video card.

working great now...
