m15x keyboard issue

Hey guys,

I just recently got my new m15x laptop, great piece of machine. However, im having a big keyboard problem, REALLY annoying.

For some reason, if I hit any key twice really fast, it doesn't seem to record the second strike. It makes typing things like "reaLLy" extremely difficult.

I was wondering if anybody had a solution to this issue? It would be greatly appreciated!

call alienware they will probably have to send you another keyboard... some have reported the same issue...it seemed to be fixed by a new keyboard...

I'm not sure you can replace the keyboard that easily? and I don't believe its the hardware causing the issue, but I will give them a call!

However, in another forum, some guy posted to following in regards to HIS keyboard issue with the m15x:

Either way I would call and let AW know what is happening and ask them about it.

so I called AW, explained to them what was going on, and the rep advised me that this is a known issue and they are currently working on a fix for it. They will email me once it has been resolved, and I will share it with the rest of you.

I also brought up the replacement keyboard, and the rep said that it only fixed 1 of 10 customers, not a permanent fix. Same goes with the O.S.D..

Let me know if you guys figure anything out, and ill keep u all posted.
