Updating Driver issue (Go7400)

I have a problem with updating my video card. After i got my laptop repaired and after it was returned to me i tried installing the newest nvidia driver with the modded INF file. I uninstalled the old driver and installed the new driver. Everything worked fine untill it restarts where after the XP logo the screen just turns black. Does anyone how to fix this problem. Before i had my laptop fixed i could install the drivers fine.

What type of laptop is it? Can you boot into safe mode?

It's a Asus V6J. I can run in safe mode but i need to uninstall the driver in safe mode if i want to run the normal mode.
