VGNSZ220 Vista Business and SD card

I have a VGNSZ220 that came with XP and I upgraded to Vista without any problems. I have used the SD reader without problems either but yesterday I bought a Maxell Hi-Speed Class 2 4 GB SD/HC card and it wont recognize it.
I have redownloaded the drivers and formated the card in another pc and it still doesn't help.
Any suggestions,

Have you tried with another SDHC card?

it seems like I've read some card readers wont recognize the new generation of high speed/hi capacity (>2GB) SD cards. might be a hardware limitation.

Try a BIOS update?

Sometimes when newer CPU's come out, manufacturer's will create new BIOS files so that older motherboard can recognize the newer CPU's.
