Keyboard Issue! Please Help!

Hey guys, my 700M was recently stolen. I'm a college student and I'm broke so right now all I have is a really old Latitude CPx (256MB RAM, P2, etc).

I am having some trouble with the keyboard - some of the letters don't work unless you press down REALLY hard, and others type 3 letters when you tap it once. Anyway, I have taken apart 9100's and 9400's so I know a bit about the insides of the laptop.

Again, I am a broke college student, and probably can't even afford a new keyboard, nor do I really want to invest money into this laptop. Any ideas about the problem would be greatly appreciated. Do you think maybe it's the connection or just the keyboard getting old?

PS: Be careful wth your laptops guys, left my 700M in my backpack at someone's house, now it's gone...

Thanks for the help! Any suggestions would help, it literally took me 20 minutes to type this, and I type 70WPM!

Buy a air canister and blow out the keyboard to remove any debris that might be under the keys. Keyboards are relatively inexpensive to replace and usually run around 20 dollars. You can check www.parts-people.com or Dell Spare Parts 1-800-449-3355 ext 7269937
