sony Viao PCG-9P6L CD drive install

Does anyone have a link on how to disassemble my version of viao? I think my CD drive is going bad. It makes a lot of noise, it will run for awhile and then overheat when I try to play a dvd, or at least the movie will run for maybe an hour then the cd acts like its skipping or something. When I turn the laptop off and let it sit for awhile to cool off, the cd will start playing again, but it still will act up after awhile, and I can no longer burn music to my blank CD's.

Also, I would like some recomendations on a future laptop purchase that has parts that, when they go bad, are easy to remove or replace. Like the Gateway m675. It's old, but it definitley is easy access for replacing worn out parts.

Thank you.

Try this

Replacing hard drive, optical drive, and memory is pretty much standard on all laptops/notebooks. Some brands (Sony, Apple) do make it a little bit harder to access the devices, but not so difficult

cheers ...

When you are taking your system apart, keep everything organized! Take pictures if you do not think you will remember where everything goes
