And again it was a "batch" of boards that we are talking about. The same thing is true when ever you buy a new car or any used car. You always check the vin number because it told you what day it was made. If it was made the day after payday you knew it was going to be a lemon. Care to guess why?
Who said anything about a rigged QnA? They know certain "Hard" questions will be asked before hand, say like "What direction will the company take in the next 6 months" or "How much inventory was defective" or even "Which inventory is defective?" all of which can be answered ahead of time with constructed spun responses that in no way violate any rules. Between the "Truth" and a "Blatant Lie" is an Ocean of "Gray" that these responses can legally live in.

According to what I saw, it was initially represented as a "Batch of Boards" but has more recently been intimated that it is a design flaw included in the entire generation 8 series, maybe you would have saw that if you read past the opening paragraphs.....

As of yet Nvidia has not said anything about design, they did say "packing". Until they say anything contrary "intimated" is rumored without factual evidence. I wait for the Q & A to root out the problems.

They can say whatever they want to about the problems. It's their company and jobs that will suffer the consequences both legal and non. It's their choice.

The real issue is who would AW and in fact every other maker, turn to if both Nvidia and ATI are producing lame products? On top of it Apple is one of Nvidia's top buyer of the 8800 series card for their MBP. How much of this is hitting the fan on their forums? This is playing right into Intel's GPU blueprint. And guess what is supposed to be supported down the line on the Nehalem Chips?

Ive been on Intels nuts since the first pentiumM/Centrino........
Core2Duo has only strengthened that.
Im a big fan or ray trace engines as I have written one myself, and Intel likes it too.
If the can pop in a sweet gpu or gpgpu into the mix Im all for it.
