MT3422 motherboard replacement

Hi,

Its now been two days since i got my MT3422 laptop from gateway for a motherboard replacement. Its working fine now but does anyone know if these laptops have faulty motherboards.Now i am wondering what is the best thing to do now. The original problem was the computer would not boot up, cd lights jus blinked. I dont want a repeat of this problem. i bought this computer in october 2007 from bestbuy so my warranty will soon be up . Any advice ?

Any laptop parts can go bad at any time. Get an extended warranty if you choose to keep the machine much longer

purchased an mt3422 from tiger direct about 6 months ago. I'm having the same problem. Did some searching on the net and it seems to be common with this motherboard.
Not worth repairing at about $300.00 a shot so just to have it go down again so I'm buying another laptop instead.

Sell it before it dies again. Do a quik search on mt3422 motherboard just on this site and you will be disappointed. Mine lasted 6 months and 4 days (6 month warranty from TD).
