Anybody else installed extra memory on their Asus M6800N?

I just installed an extra 512MB of Kingston stick of RAM. I notice if I touch the bottom area where the memory is installed, it gets very hot. It says very hot regardless of whether the computer is idle or if I'm playing a game. It doesn't get that hot if I remove the stick of memory Anybody else experience this? I'm probably going to get a replacement for this memory to see whether it's the memory that's causing the extra heat.

no limit,

did you install the same ram that came with your system? Did you also get the kingston ddr333 with the apple model number on it? Thats what I got in my system, and i know that i had to send back the extra kingston value ram because it did the same thing. Kingston would not confirm, but could it have anything to do with the CL of RAM? I know the performance stuff was more expensive and it does perform better.... but like I said, i had that problem, but only with the value crap

I did buy the Value RAM because my laptop also came with Value RAM. How do I know if I have an Apple model?

i think they just started offering the apple stuff... I think it depends on when you bought the notebook. the apple memory is like a 1/3 more i think.

model number is: KTA instead of KVR

KTA-PBG4333/512
