Hi guys

OK so I am in the market to buy a KICKASS pc but don't don't want Vista! I'll be sticking with XP for a while.

Anyway have any of you ever heard of *buydirectpc.com?* Seems they offer PCs that are configurable by the user. I put together a PC that I think looks pretty kickass but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

And no I can't build it myself because I suck at it, and don't really have the time. Plus, I like the idea of having a warranty.

Never heard of that company either....and that price is sky high. I have to compare it to building, and I know you don't want to build, but the key is getting the builders to have a price close to the configured price you can make yourself.

That system is a $1500 build I would guess + or - $100

Thanks guys. Since my last post I have discovered Avadirect. So I went to their site configured a PC with very similar specs for $2150, and that includes a 3yr limited warranty, bluray/HDDVD combo player,
and overclocking.

I've heard pretty good things about them

For the most part, I can't deny that they don't have good reviews...

However I have had one of their systems, and after having numerous issues I was called a liar, and scammer by the CEO himself after trying to get a computer that was working. (I asked for a rebuilt PC after 4 months of a downed system). The way I see it though, I must just have hit an issue that they couldn't find a way to fix, causing them to have a complete breakdown over the matter.

Basically, go with them, but if you run into too many issues, just box the damn thing up and send it back.
