PCtorque ... ??

My laptop formed a purple line down the screen, started throttling, overheating, and now only manages to boot up about 40% of the time.

I purchased an extra 2-year extension on top of the 1-year normal warranty... and apparently Sager only covers the 1-year warranty, and after that year I have to get it serviced by PCTorque.com (the place I purchased it from).

So my question is this:
Has anyone else had a real annoyance with them??!

Like honestly, it's been over 2 weeks since I sent out the first e-mail (their site says they will try to respond in an hour).. and a week since the second e-mail.
I've sat in their "ONLINE CHAT" for hours staring at a screen that says "

System: Please Wait while connecting to an operator" but the operator never comes..

I've called.. I never get a representative, I just get what seems to be a single guy's answering machine. I explained my problem and put my contact information on his machine.. and haven't gotten any sort of response.

Any ideas on what I should do?

I'd REALLY like to get this fixed.. lol.

... Alright, so now I'm really pissed.

User: Order ID 30389 placed on 11/23/2005
PCTorque: I have looked into your order
PCTorque: Unfortunately, the extended warranties were purchased through a company called ATS
PCTorque: ATS went bankrupt and out of business
PCTorque: However, as a courtesy, Sager will offer you a 10% discount on any repairs you may need

How come I wasn't told at the time of purchasing that these warranties were through a company other than PCTorque/Sager??
uhggg!

I've bought from PCTorque and had wonderful experiences. I can get an employee here to help you if you need it.

Yeah pc torque has been great so far with me too..Also, not to highjack anybody's thread but has anyone heard if nivida gtx 280m cards arrived to sager from the factory yet?...I ordered my 5797 about 10 days ago and was just wondering. But i heard that there are still some people waiting since Febuary..But in no way is this PC Torque's or Sager's fault, it's nvidia for not keeping up with the demand

PC torque?

Has anyone heard if Nvida GTX 280m cards arrived to sager from the factory yet?...I ordered my 5797 about 10 days ago from PC torque, and was just wondering. I would call but I figured I would just see if someone else here has already done this...I'm sure they get enough phone calls a day about this...Pc torque is doing a fine job by the way...And in no way is this their fault...But I heard that some people are still waiting and have been since Febuary...That would drive me insane!!!haha

Thanks in Advance,

Hi KY Bullet,

Can you please PM us your Order number so that I can give you a better idea of your order status. Unfortunately, Clevo has been consistently delaying shipment of the new nVidia 280M graphics cards. At first we were promised them in early April, then mid April, then late April and now early May. Thus in general we expect them to begin shipping in one to two weeks. PC Torque understands and sympathizes with everyone who has been patiently waiting for systems with this graphic card and want all of our customers to know that we are putting the utmost pressure on Clevo and Sager to speed up the process, as we have no interest in delaying our customer's orders.

Hey guys, I was just surfing some old posts about the 9262 and the talk about SLI configuration and then they put a hold on it. That post was about 1 year old and never seen any other posts about it...The question I have is the Nvidia GTX 280m sitting on the Clevo M570TU SLI cofigurated? Be nice if so!!!

Thanks,
KY_BULLET

Unfortunately, the NP5797 never was or will be available in SLI mode, as it can only handle one graphics card.

Dude...I hope you didn't pay for expedited shipping. I paid for 2 day air and PC Torque sent it UPS Ground!! After waiting over 2 months for my notebook, I now have to wait another week.

How about getting your act together PC Torque? You're upsetting a lot of people these days.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for my refund for the 2-day air shipping I paid for.

(Makes me want to go back and revise the negative things I said about xoticpc)

Sorry to read that you have such a waiting time and delay with PC Torque. But I can assure you that they are not the only one, belonging to system builders group. Parts delay can play havoc in the ordering and shipping.

Saying all that, discuss with them and get some sort of compensation (that I personally that you deserve) that can be satisfied to both parties.

(And no, I don't work for them )

cheers ...

PC Torque always appreciates the input of its customers with regards to the quality of service received and ways we can improve. With regards to the instant post, this customer was a CA customer who would normally be required to pay the CA sales tax since all Sager notebooks ship from CA. As a courtesy to the customer, we offered to have the notebook shipped to our NY offices first so that the customer would avoid this hefty tax (almost $300). Since this required an extra round of shipping, the customer was told that it would ship via 2 Day Air from Sager to us and via FREE UPS Ground Shipping from our offices to the customer's. This is exactly what was done. The UPS ground shipment the customer is referring to is for that second round of shipping and was free. The customer also received what she paid for - 2 Day Air shipping from Sager to PC Torque.

So all and all, this customer:
1. Was able to save sales tax through this second round of shipping AND
2. Received one round of FREE UPS Ground shipping in addition to the 2nd Day Air shipping she paid for for the other round of shipping.

In light of all this, the customer was offered a full refund of $119 for the 2nd Day air shipping she paid and received.

PC Torque always strives to provide superior customer service and support and we are always here to listen to our customers. In this case, the facts speak for themselves.
