Dell Inspirion 8600 - Those who own one please help!

Hello everyone,

I am reinstalling my laptop and came across a problem.

I have downloaded and installed the latest video driver from Omega Drivers, that is apparently still supporting ATI 9600. However when I move any window around, it feels slow. The window doesnt move as naturally smooth. I see ghost tracings, kind of lagging. I feel the latest driver is not very good for ATI 9600.

Damn, I wished I had made a note which Omega Driver I had previously installed on my laptop before formatting it.

Can you please help and tell me which driver from archive is more appropriate for Dell I8600? I dont have much time to test, since I am giving this laptop away to my sister abroad. I need to sort this out before its too late.

Why don't you try to download proper ATI drivers ?

AMD no longer supports legacy GPUs and your pretty much forced to use whats available. Look into the latest modified AMD drivers from driverheaven
