NX9010 what ram does it use ?

Thread Starter
i have checked my ram inside my laptop and it has 2x 256 PC 2700 DDR 333 ram. i went online and bought a 1GB PC 2700 DDR 333 RAM and tried it out and i get a blank screen. i removed both of the 256 rams and tried just one ram still did not work. so i returned the 1GB and now i am in need of what ram i should use. i checked online and some sites tell me PC 2100 DDR 266 works... so i am very confused...

also i found out the maxium my laptop can take is 1GB, so can i get 2x 512, or should i get 1 GB ram.

I would opt for the 2 x 512mb as well, as it lets you run in dual channel mode. Crucial is generally a safe/good choice, also, I have had good luck with kingston, which you can usually get a good price on.

At any rate, I would stick with the same rated ram that is already installed in your notebook.

Throwing my hat in for Corsair...best RAM ever as show by how they pwn other brands in overclockability (not relevant really for laptops). And their PSU got nothing lower than 5-eggs.

Here is a small tip. I recommend getting 2 x 1gb sticks of ram. In the future you are going to want/need to upgrade again. No need in wasting money in buying two smaller sticks if you will more then likely need to upgrade that again...

But, the OP stated that the max on this model is only 1gb, so 2 512mb sticks will max it out, unless he is mistaken?
