A rather inane question

i have purchased a dell xps m1530 notebook. it comes wid vista home premium 32-bit preinstalled.
i wanted to know is it possible to install windows xp after having vista on my notebook? i always thot tat first the older os needs to be installed and then the newer one.
also if it is not possible then how can i install xp first and then vista coz vista will already be on my hdd rite?
also i have heard tat finding drivers for vista is pretty diffcult. cud u plz tell me some sites where i mite be able to download them from?
i know this mite be a very basic question so i am in advance saying sorry for my lack of knowledge.

. you can install xp (part of dual boot) on an existing vista environment. It will take a few more steps, but doable.
. dell should have the appropriate xp drivers for your comp on its support site. cannot garrantee that special features would work under xp
