I just opened my m9750 and found a hair underneath the bottom left corner of my screen... I tried to knock it to the side but no avail... i dont want to send it in for three weeks to get it fixed is there anyway to take it apart and get it out without destroying the screen...either that or I will have to bite the bullet and send it in atleast I live close to TX....

They might help you take apart the screen housing over the phone if it's not too bad. I know they've had owners that are comfortable with some disassembly check the lcd cables, and inverter interface. I'd call and let them know the situation, they may be able to either help you take care of it yourself over the phone, and you can ask if opening the lcd housing is a problem with the warranty...

Can you figure out how the housing comes apart? Usually there are some screws under the rubber bump things on the screen/lid housing. Once you get the frame apart, you should be able to gently blow the hair out from behind the lcd protective lens with some canned air, then re-assemble. I'd just figure it out myself, but again it might void your warranty, so if that's important check with Alienware.

I know there has been a pictorial on taking apart the 7700 screen here somewhere, but I don't think I've seen anyone that's posted about the m9700/m9750 chassis.

Here's a link to a dell lcd repair pictorial... might help if you decide to try to open it yourself.

Lots of google results in a search for laptop lcd disassembly.

yeah I called them and they said there's no protocol to walk someone through to take the lcd apart to get the hair out I had the lcd taken out of my computer and looking at it... but there likes clear tape and small screws that hold the two parts together and everything things looks so fragile I dont think its worth attempting to fix... It will only take a week to ship it let them fix it and then ship it back not too bad of a turn around... its probably that way since I live in Arkansas and its being shipped to Texas...

good news I got the lcd screen completely apart and blew the hair out of the backlight so no more problem...its so easy a caveman could do it...I fought off an abduction a little longer...

Good to hear you got it taken care of, I'm not sure the warranty would cover a hair in the lense... You may have gotten billed for the shipping and repair.
