bluetooth in vostro 1500

hi
after repartitioning my laptop i installed Windows xp/Vista and at time of installing drivers when i try installing bluetooth driver Windows xp/Vista wants to activate it with fn+f2 or radio switch.after turning the switch on i hear the sound of attaching and de-attaching a hardware!! and ofcourse nothing happens. no bluetooth !!
any idea?

To understand, you have no BT either under XP or Vista partitions? For Vista, you did use (install back) the drivers and utiltities apps offered by Dell?

well yes i dont have any BT . and i am trying dell drivers of course! the damn thing is when i turn switch on xp/vista wont even notice new hardware (BT and Wi-Fi).needless to say i worked with both wi-fi and bt before installing new windowses

this is a long shot (?), but it seems like the driver for Inspiron 640m / E1405 (Broadcom Bluetooth 355) did work in many instances.
