my sony TR2A will not charge the battery. It will also not run on the power cord. I checked the power cord with a multi-meter and it is putting out 16 volts or very near it. What could be wrong? The battery indicator light flashes like it is charging but it dies out. I bought a new battery and the same thing is happening. When my new battery dies out that will be that and I have no way to charge it back up. I might have enough left to do something if I knew what to do. I have already used the reformat disk that comes with the computer and started it anew. Does anyone know what it might be?
