M2010 and 4GB with Vista 64 bit

Thread Starter
I know there aren't many of you with an M2010, let alone with Vista 64 on it, but I just upgraded mine to Vista Ultimate 64 bit, and with 4GB of RAM, I was expecting to be able to use all 4GB, yet the system only shows that 3.3GB is usable.

It seems that is the same amount of RAM that would be available in a 32-bit OS.

Any ideas what is wrong, or is it right?

Thanks!

If my memory recalls your chipset is pretty old. Its probably the same as the one in the M1710. This means that your chipset is only 32 bit and you will not be able to have 4 GB of free memory at any time due to hardware (MMIO). The processor is 64-bit, the OS is 64-bit, but your chipset is 32-bit (short answer).
