Hi everyone, this is my first thread here so please bear with me. I have a sony VGN-AR320E, with windows Vista Home (32bit). I bought a clean version of vista home (32bit), installed and did a fresh install to get rid of alot of sonys stuff. Stuff that i am now needing >.>

Now my problem is this, i had all the drivers downloaded prior to the wipe and was ready for the new instal. But my built in camera will not work. I downloaded the drivers from sonys website for the built in webcam but they will not install. So here I am, asking for yalls support. I guess im asking for a driver that works, for the built in camera. I dont know why sonys dosent work, it gives me an error that says its not for this system. Thank you in advance for the support.

when I run the setup, the file(driver) i downloaded from sony for the webcam it tells me its not inteded for this computer. Or something along those lines. cant remeber the exact quote it gives me. But ive try;d everything with that driver.

well when you download the drivers from sony, it may already be unzipped (unless there is only 1 exe)

If this is the case, you have to tell the PC where to update the drivers from. Can you link me on Sony's website where you downloaded the driver from?

i dont have a direct link to the sony download. it was in their support, downloads section for this laptop VGN-AR320E. And all it is is a Setup file. Its an EXE, theres nothing to break down like your thinking.

search the net for vgp-vcc4 file (some in zip, some in exe) or search under Ricoh Motion Eye cam device. That is how close you gonna get, or hopefully some forum members can put up a link

cheers ...

Hi again all, just wanted to say that the file I downloaded " ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/vaio/ori...E4_DRIVERS.ZIP " Once unzipped, the files inside the Camera folder have the drivers i needed. camera works fine now, thanks again for all the help and the linky above works. Ty again
