ok, this is a little strange...

I ordered a custom build of XPS M1330 on Friday afternoon UK time (with 320 GB 7200 rpm HDD that's not available on the uk website)...

On Saturday it was in shipping status.
This morning they would have delivered it had it not been a bank holiday...

Now, they told me it would be 7 to 10 WORKING days (so 8th September) to receive my new laptop...

Now of course I am paranoid that they found a refurbished one and have sent that...

If not, and it's a genuine new build in less than 18 hours, then - WOW !

any thoughts to put my mind at rest?

if you bought it new, it will have to be new. but that is awful quick though, if it is really already shipped, they must have not been busy or something. it always takes a long time in my experience... i did get my refurbished 1330 in 4 days total though, i was shocked

depends on parts availability. if you dont order it with something that it says will delay it initially, they can get it done really fast

If you didn't do much customization that can also drastically decrease your time in production. It took 5 business days to get my D820.

Well - the only special thing was the 320GB 7200 RPM HDD that's not available on the UK website...

It should be good tho
