770i to offer dual-SLI, DDR3 support:

Set on reminding everyone that it can still do chipsets, Nvidia is preparing the release of a new, IGP-less chip for Intel platforms, the nForce 770i SLI. The upcoming chip is a cut-down/castrated nForce 790i SLI that features support for all latest and last Core 2 Duo, Quad and Extreme processors. Unlike its older, more expensive brother, the 770i will have to settle for 'simple' 2-way SLI and won't be able to reach any crazy memory speeds as it only supports DDR3 RAM up to 1333 MHz (although some overclocking headroom is expected).

The nForce 770i SLI will be introduced some time in Q4 and should make for a decent, hopefully major bug-free mid-range Intel board.
