Best laptop for under $2000.00?

Thread Starter
Alright so I'm looking to buy a laptop specifically for playing games on... It won't do a lot of moving around, except weekends when I travel from one house to another.

I'm looking for the best bang for my buck, I want a laptop that'll play anything out there today and whatever is coming out in the near future. The games I have in mind right now to play are WoW, AoC, and Warhammer Online.

I found this laptop from Sager:

Which seems to fit what I'm looking for... I just want to know if there's a better deal out there than this laptop.

I live in Canada so it needs to be shippable to Canada.

Thanks.

I'm quickly becoming a fan of the new Gateway P7811FX. I think it currently offers the best value of any gaming notebook on the market.

Take a look at these threads:

2. http://www.notebookforums.com/thread220195.html

I'm sure more threads on this notebook will pop up in the Gateway Section.

Good luck!

The gateways sure look nice and have a good price tag, but I haven't been impressed with how they hold up in the past. I've had many Dells and they're rock-solid, good warranty, and all that kind of stuff. The Gateways I've had experience with ended up needing new motherboards, hinges, batteries, and all the exterior plastics were worn to pieces before the extended warranty ran out. I guess you could use some of the money you save to buy the Best Buy warranty (when I got that warranty, it gave you a free battery every six months; definately worth it) and perhaps have the best of both worlds? These new ones are dead sexy, I'll give them that one.

I just bought an XPS m1710 off ebay for $1480 shipped, fully loaded with blu-ray and everything, as well as 1.5 years of completecare warranty left. The m90/m1710 is still a decent machine for gaming, and up to $2000 you could even check out the m1730 and m6300 units on there. Dell also has new precision workstation-grade laptops in the workings, with quad-core capability and DDR3 etc. Might be worth a quick look to see if they'll be in the price ballpark at all (probably not).
