Do they still confiscate laptop batteries on Airplane Flights?

I guess my Dell E1705 batteries weren't the exploding ones recalled. But would they still confiscate my batteries on an airplane flight? Or they'd allow them? Or would they ship them to your home? I'm gonna fly Delta.

no, they wont confinscate them, you want to make sure they are wrapped up in something though, and that you dont have a lot of batteries with you (batteries cannot be checked in luggage) check out the guidelines website:

for my recent travels to Florida, I had my 6 cell plugged in in my notebook (which they say to do for primary), and my spare 9-cell in my notebook bag in a plastic bag (which they say to do for spare batteries if they dont have their own case)

I recently travelled outside US, they only inspected my laptop, and asked about the battery in my backpack. I just told them I need it as a backup for the business trip. They didnt really dig any more questions.

Good luck in flying through Atlanta - flying through Charlotte on USAir is far easier - your laptop batteries are the least of your concerns
