Where are the Blu-ray r/w drives?

I'm looking to buy a Sager NP5796, from either Sager or Xoticpc. I could swear that when I first spec this machine a Blu-ray R/W drive was an option. But now that I'm ready to purchase it is not.

Justin (sales rep) at Xoticpc says, "the blu-ray drive is currently on backorder with no ETA and has been removed from our customization menu until this item comes back into stock."

I even checked several other resellers and only found one that still offerred it as an option. Anyone on the forum have any additional information as to why the supply chain is out and when it may restock?

Mike told me there is no Solid ETA on the arrival for blu ray drives.

Thanks Steve for checking.

Fortunately I can be patient. I've been waiting for 11 months for just the right notebook to be available. I guess a little while longer won't be a problem.
