A300D - Extra Hard Drive

Hello All,

This model has been released in canada, and I wasnt sure about how many hard disks it has support to. So, I bought one and decided to figure it out.

As I found out, there is space for an extra hard disk, although you cant do RAID with them, its very useful to have an extra one. The only issue is that I cant put the cover back with the extra hard drive in, because toshiba decided to put some plastic pins on it.

QUestion:

1 - If I cut those pins out, will I void my warranty?
2 - Is there any known replacement for this cover, so I can buy it and keep the old one without cutting those pins?

Still couldn't figure it out, for now I'll keep 1 hd only. Also, this notebook uses the puma platform, which has raid capabilities, but there's nothing on the BIOS that let me enable that (even with the 2 hds attached).

I looked at the pic a bit more closer, and it would make no sense when the pis are being cut off, how would the drive be held in place without slogging around, the cover itself should never be used as a hold-in-place bracket.
