U205-5034 laptop does not turn with battery alone

I have an issue with my u205 laptop. It works fine with an ac adapter and registers that a battery is present. I cant use it without the ac adapter. I've already tried using the battery on another U205 and it turned on fine.
When the ac adapter is connected the battery light turns amber and after a while it turns blue meaning its fully charged. I know its not the battery since it worked fine on another U205. Anyone experience this.?

If its still under warranty, take it in

yeah, no warranty of course, always happens when it fvcks up, im tearing it apart to see what's going on under the hood. ill keep you posted

There was a bad chip pn the motherboard. The chip is near the battery connector and reads LF A10. Its white and stands out from the others. I replaced it an my laptop now works on battery alone.
