I just got a new HP ze5700 laptop (Celeron 2.8 GHz). I have noticed that when the computer runs there is a subdued, yet annoying "static" sound that comes through the speakers when the hard drive reads (not the fan running). Has anyone else noticed this? I know that this is a "value" notebook and I don't expect the world, but is this a harware problem or just the nature of the model/configuration? I would love to confirm an issue before going through the trouble to replace this if this problem is the norm on this notebook.
