tch tch tch .. when Chrome is OFF.

c:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default

Open Preferences in Editor; there one can change the default search engine, manipulate the dictionary for spell checker (or turn it off completely with just "") ...

My personal score and observation after many, mucho hours of testing and feeling out:
. cool, exciting tool, toy
. devs team are quite busy

but ....
. security is the biggest concern, from my point of view
. reports and blogs have been surfacing regarding security holes all over, and the Chrome team is very into it, plugging holes as they find them

so until there is more "open" declarations of what can be exploited and what is not, this browser will be chilled for a little while

another observation:
. even though one is not using chrome, only installed, google plants an update process into the task scheduler
. accessories -> system programs-> scheduled task
. delete this entry, and you will no longer have a sneaker behind your back

It's nice. I like the interface. But FF has got me in a choke hold.

Until Chrome gets extension support and customizable themes, I think I'll stick with Firefox 3. Chrome is much faster at rendering webpages though.

Many mentioned a work around as to go to Control Panel > Mouse > Wheel > Number of Lines, direct from Windows Mouse setting.

Hit&miss for me though.

I was thinking about downloading google chrome myself, but seeing as it's not quite ready yet, I think I'll stay with what i?ve got for the timebeing.
It's good to know that there are a lot of you guys trying all these new things out anyway - Gives a little insight to what lies ahead, but for once my comp is working fine i don't want to start messing it up again for the moment !!!

Quite true about not messing with a working environment

Please note that we can only input personal observations and experiences, which might vary from one user to another. And fell free to give us your own inputs on anything that comes across. That is how forums work.

Stay with the 1.x release, the 2.x is still beta version with many hiccups.

Ive been using Google Chrome as my MAIN Browser since January 09 maybe and I don't have any problems with it! IT's tons better than IE7 because it saves ANY ebay auction! Ebay has special coding that prevents auction saves on IE7. Plus multitabbed browsers open faster on Chrome!
