Buying a new notebook

I just sold my macbook pro for 2700.00. So, my budget for a new notebook is 2700.00.

I want a 17" notebook. I want to be able to play games on it. I have a really nice gaming pc but I seem to use my notebook more than I use my desktop. I have been looking at PCTorque notebooks (sager) as well as Dell, Gateway, ASUS & Alienware.

All suggestions are welcome. Is there something I should be careful of? Something to avoid?
