Help PLEASE!

Hey everyone. I am very anxious to buy an 8600 - mostly because of the offers dell is putting on right now - 10% off coupon, free dvd burner, and free 2nd day shipping.
I would buy right now but this is the problem. Intel is coming out with a new processor next month called the Dothan (I'm sure all of you know this already). When this comes out I'm sure it will lower the prices of all of the other laptops but I don't know by how much. Should I wait about a month for the price drops or will it even be worth it? Tell me what you think... Thanks. -Alex

Well, if you can wait, I would wait for the processor to come out. Be aware though, that once it does come out the wait for you notebook might be substantially longer. You could just get the cheapest processor now like a 1.3 (by request on phone) or a 1.4. Then swap later when the dothan prices go down a lil. There are also numerous threads discussing whether to wait. Do a search and I'm sure you'll come up with many many threads.
