hey guys. my wife's laptop just up and quit on her one day. restarts will get through bios and then hang right after not attempting to load anything. the hdd and cdd will spin.
i can change settings in bios v 2.5? american megatrends and it will save them. i'll get the beep noise after bios, then it will hang with a blinking underscore without a designated drive. i can only shut down with power button, or restart w/ ctrl alt del which will have the same result.
i pulled the hdd and tested that as an external drive. it checks out and found no errors with checkdisc.
i can actually get into the phoenix recovery system by averatec after bios, but when i attempt to recover it hangs with the same screen. all options in that program result the same.
won't boot from ANYTHING usb cd hdd
