Hello folks,

could somebody please pm me for the a.m request?
Here ist a tool to extract the bios: http://download.zol.com.cn/down.php?...atid=21&site=1
Can't find any download link for 2.03 on the alienware site, and yes, I am not an alienware customer, but own this laptop model under another brand name.

Thx for your help...

Is your model, the one that has the 7600go video card? If so, then maybe I can help you.

Thx for your offer. I'm referring to the m5500 that came with hybrid Gfx (Intel and Geforce 6600 go /ATI X1600). My laptop could potentially be upgraded with 7600 go up to 8600m GT. Your's is a different model from Uniwill, I believe.
Mine has a Pentium M CPU, yours Core2Duo.

haha. Yeah, it's kind of confusing since the m5550 can also be referred to as the m5500-R3 (refresh 3??) which is what my m5550 was. I hope that someone, can help you out here. Did you try going to the uniwill website yet?? They also have the BIOS updates, but I'm not too sure if it'll work for yours.

Hi again, thx for responding.
I went to the Uniwill website long time ago and the latest BIOS they have for this machine is 2.02, which I already got.
The thing is I want to install Iatkos 2.0i (all other mac4all releases didn't mount for some reasons) cos I found someone on the web who had it running on the Alienware m5500 with 2.03, so I figured it might be a good idea to update my Nexoc ES606 to 2.03 before giving this version a go (I'm still dl-ing it)+ I'd like to have the Alienware splashscreen, too

Anyone else who can help me out?

Hmm, successfully burnt a CD from the *.iso file, got to see the Alienware readme stating that I just created a Boot-CD for Bios update blahblah but it doesn't want to do anything on bootup.

Neither do I get to see a comand promt nor can I access anything on the computer when booting with the CD.
Bootup just stops at some point and the laptop finally continues booting on HD after I remove the CD. 1st Boot device is set to CD, so nothing wrong there.

Since you got the same model mb67, could you please extract your 2.03 bios as a *.rom file using the AMI flash tool which I linked in my first post and upload the *rom file somewhere? Can't extract it from the .iso file, because the files are hidden.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I already got this 2.02 version on my laptop. I want to try Alienware's 2.03.

WinISO will let you extract files from an .iso file.

I have Nero's full suite of burning software, so I was able to take the .iso and convert it to a usable image...

Quick update here, I know I'm a thread digger... The image has to be burnt with NERO for some reason, other burning suites don't work apparently.
