I need help with my Acer Aspire 3004WLMi

I bought my Aspire 3004WLMi about 2 years ago, and now I'm having problems with it. The power cord didn't seem to charge the battery, so I took it to Circuit City, and they said to buy a universal cord. The universal cord didn't charge it either, but it ran off AC power. Today it is now freezing at the welcome screen, and I don't know what to do. I don't have a lot of money to spend on repairs and I don't know if its the power cord not charging the battery.

Sounds out like your battery may not be accepting a charge anymore because its pretty much done for

Sometimes your Windows drivers are corrupted and it never charges.
